Wynne Harrison is a visual arts teacher in the Waukegan School District and a mixed media artist who uses found objects for creating 3-D artwork. Sustainability and repurposing is the essence of her artwork. She also has a background in documentary filmmaking and provided free art classes to homeless women in San Francisco prior to moving to Chicago. Her lifelong mission is to inspire her students and colleagues to use the art form to communicate social justice through advocacy. Her art curriculum in public school includes multi-culturalism, anti-racism, and equal rights. Ms. Harrison has two children who continue to inspire her every day with their creative outlook on life. Being part of the collaboration with the Cabinet of Curiosity show on Panoramic Prayers was a healing process for the greater good especially during these uncertain times.
